Here are worship materials for the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 12B.
Call to Worship Psalm 145 Adapted
One: All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your faithful shall bless you.
All: They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom,
and tell of your power and your mighty deeds.
One: Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
All: The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.
One: The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.
All: The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.
One: You open your hand, satisfying the desire of every living thing.
All: The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.
One: The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
All: He fulfills the desire of all who fear him; he also hears their cry, and saves them.
One: My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord.
All: All flesh will bless his holy name forever and ever.
One: We begin even now, in greeting one another, “The peace of God be with you.”
All: And also with you.
Prayer of Invocation (in unison)
God of all people and all history, you tenderly hold the whole world in your hands, bringing light to our days and hope to our hearts. You have provided for us, preserved our lives, and invited us once more to this time of prayer. So help us, we pray, to understand that your vision for the world is one of communion and not of domination, of welcome and not of exclusion, of liberation to new life and not of oppression in old roles; and grant that we might live in the hope that this vision be realized in all that we do, ever embracing your way love, through Jesus Christ who leads the way. Amen.
