Elizabeth Goodman, Pastor and Teacher

Rev. Liz Goodman is a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ, raised on the seacoast of New Hampshire and educated for ministry at Harvard Divinity School. Ordained in 2000, she came to Church on the Hill in September 2019, which she serves along with the Monterey UCC in South County. Liz is a contributor to Journal for Preachers and The Christian Century, and has a collection of sermons entitled Breaking and Entering: Unexpected Sermons for an Unfinished World. She lives in Lenox with her husband Jesse, their two sons, and their three mutts.

Charles Fitzhugh, Music Minister

Charlie has been our musician since winter 2018. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1977 with a BA in Music Theory and Composition, and worked at the US Postal Service for 33 years before retiring last year. (Yes, that's where you know him from.) Charlie has been a substitute musician in area churches since 2007, has played for elementary, middle, and high school functions, and has sung in several local choirs, some of whom have performed original works or arrangements of his. He has been married for 35 years, has two daughters, and four cats.

Jack

Jack is an eighth grader at Lenox Middle School who aims to be a teacher when he grows up. As such, he's eager to hone his skills as someone who helps little ones learn and grow. He's available for taking care of children who come to worship, children of any age. We've got books, toys, puzzles, and games to keep everyone busy who'd find worship more frustrating than fulfilling. Come play with him!

Monda Driscoll, Church Administrator

Monda has been with Church on the Hill since winter 2018. A Lee resident, she is retired from a managerial position with Big Y, and is active in the First Congregational Church of Lee. She has two grown children and four grandchildren, all living in the area. She has an extensive background as an administrator and manager, and is therefore often the only reason anything ever gets done in an orderly fashion around here.

Jennifer Beaudry, Sexton

Jenn is the longest-time staff member of Church on the Hill. For ten years she's been picking up after us, shoveling snow ahead of us, stocking us with paper goods and cleaning products, letting us back in when we've locked ourselves out or locking up after us when we've forgotten to do so, and being an all-around, on-call angel of God's grace.
