PEACE BREAKS OUT is a traditional service of lessons and carols telling the story of Christmas. Readings from the Hebrew Bible foretelling the birth of the Messiah and New Testament readings recounting the Nativity narrative will alternate with anthems and carols celebrating the beloved story.

David Anderegg is a local composer who served as the lead composer and arranger for the Berkshire-based a cappella group Quintessential for almost 20 years. He has written hymns, carols and anthems as well as popular music, including two chamber operas, What Owls Do and The Beasts. His work has been performed by the Stockbridge Festival Chorus and Cantilena as well as church and community choirs throughout the Berkshires and Vermont.

Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the People’s Pantry, a community food program based in Great Barrington. Masks will be required for admission.
