Church on the Hill is rebuilding after a few years of pastoral transition and congregational decline. Our story isn't unique. Many congregations are experiencing loss of membership. This is exacerbated by the fact that Lenox, like all of Berkshire County, is undergoing a decline in population in general.
This presents an interesting opportunity for people looking to join up with congregational life, though. New participants who bring with them a particular sense of mission or purpose will find in Church on the Hill an openness to supporting that sense, even an eagerness to join in the effort.
So, to get involved, start by coming to worship. Familiarize yourself with the people who've been here for a while, some for a very long while. Then share what your passion is--whether social justice, faith formation, ecological reconciliation, prayer and meditation, fellowship and congregational care.
There are so many ways to go about being church.
Come, then, bring your heart, and let us join you.
