Lent Refrain
Here is music, accompaniment, and text for a Lenten refrain you might use throughout the weeks of the season as a meditation. We will use this in in Sunday worship as well, one verse for each of the weeks.
Repentance: an important Lenten theme.
In Hebrew, it is teshuvah, meaning to return.
In Greek, it is metanoia, meaning to expand your knowing or your mind; to know God and to know as God knows, deeply and lovingly.

Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
I want to feel a Godly sorrow, to wash my soul and make me pure.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
I want to see by Godly wisdom, to bless my mind, as God to know.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
I want to live by Godly kindness, to fill my heart and bless my soul.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
I want to practice Godly mercy, to heal my soul and this life we share.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
I want to realize Godly justice, return to God, our goodly home.
Flow, repentance. Flow; roll on. Roll on, thou blessed power.
